Development Blog
06/10/2026
Sorry I really haven't been keeping up with development. Though, I really haven't been able to find the motivation to work on DEBOOT recently. All that's happened is pretty much just me going into the project and moving stuff around in the loadout scene and then closing it.
I'll be honest here and say something. I've already noticed this before but it's just becoming more and more apparent that development on DEBOOT is becoming like an obligation to me, which may be a death sentence for the project...
It's kind of holding me back from working on the projects that I really want to start working on, but it's also all I can do right now. DEBOOT is simple in most of the aspects of game development which I struggle with. So if I do decide to set aside DEBOOT, it will probably be a while before you see anything new from me because I'd be sitting back and trying to improve my skills. Also even if I do set down DEBOOT, there's no saying that I won't return to it later.
Somewhat unrelated, but I've pondered the fact that these blogs don't really give a way to communicate with me. It'd be nice to have some communication so I might open a Discord server for my stuff...? My only issue with that idea is trying to deal with moderation, but the plus sides might outweigh that. A big part of game development is gathering adequate feedback and I don't have many good channels for receiving said feedback.
I would imagine people would be checking a Discord server more often than a crappy Neocities blog.
This post is a bit of a downer, but I needed to be honest with all of you.
